Not to mention the horrible crimps and buffer leaking all over the place.

Only thing I have seen worse were Nitro loads, crimps unfolding and buffer all over, pure garbage! A guy I guide has a box of 25 he got a while back and half of them are completely falling apart, pathetic!
I switched to Federal Heavyweight #7's,because of all that.

100% forgot about that. Spot on about Nitro as well.

I still use them but the crimping is bad.

Cut N Run

I've been hunting with Hevi 3" # 6s & 7s for years with great success.  I got some with leaking buffer and put a few drops of candle wax on the crimp to end the problem.  I shot all those wax sealed rounds patterning & hunting with no problems.  My gun absolutely loves Hevi 6s & 7s and patterns it MUCH better than lead, yet it doesn't pattern Mag Blends worth a flip. That Hevi just mows turkeys down.  Better pattern with better penetration is worth the cost.  I've got enough Hevi stockpiled to last the rest of my of my turkey hunting days.
