It's about as early has I have ever heard a gobbler lighting the woods up, but I had an old gobbler really gobbling hard behind my house yesterday morning.....enough to stir the blood. Going to scout some new land in Ky tomorrow. It's getting closer all the time.
Oh I realized I didn't say where I was. I'm in southern Ohio

I have had a group of 9 Toms coming thru every week, they just spend winters around my woods, haven't heard a single gobble yet. I've even threatened to cut off there corn supply...

Went out for the first time to listen this morning on one of our small tracts and heard three gobbling just past the property line. Plenty close enough to call over to my side

Haven't heard gobbling yet but I saw two strutters tagging along with six hens yesterday.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!
