Anyone that has experience with this shotgun care to chime in on what they like/ dont like? I've had a Franchi 612VS since 1996 and have never had a single issue with it. Looking and buying a good solid 20ga for turkey hunting?

I like everything about it except feeding shells into the magazine.  It is a little firm, not a deal killer at all.

Bummer, that means no Longbeard® XR ammo.

I posted earlier about the Affinity 3, love the gun but the issues with TSS shells and longbeards was a deal breaker for me. I have a new SA-20 that I'm rolling with.

What can be done for it to cycle 3in rolled crimped shells

If you are hand loading just trim the hull. I haven't had the benelli click with mine. I honestly wouldnt trade mine for anything else right now.

I didn't realize the internal dimensions were that different in the 3 vs the previous model.  My Affinity slings Apex and Longbeards out the side without any issues.

Off subject a little but does anyone know if a SumToy mount will line up with the holes already on the receiver?

They will. One hole is slotted for various alignment.

The ones I've seen the problem with is not ejecting the shells but lifting the shell up from the magazine while either loading or firing. This problem only exists with the federal tss as far as I know. The apex is a hair shorter and doesn't have any problem. My buddy also tried the star crimped browning tss with no issue. I can't speak to longbeards.

The apex shot the best anyway so not really an issue unless you've got federal stockpiled IMO.

Got ya.  I will have to see if I can get my hands on a couple of the Federal to see how they work in my older Affinity

No experience with the 3 but I've used my Affinity compact for around 5 years now.  When I first got it the Benelli click got me & cost me a point blank gobbler.  Once I figured that out, I had no complaints. I use it for damn near everything...With different chokes & sight configurations, its taken 5 gobblers, a coyote, 2 does, a couple of crows, wood ducks, skunks & coons.  I like mine so much I may buy another one just to have in the safe.  :z-twocents:

Has anyone figured out how to fix this stiff loading issue?  My son can't load it by himself.
