I have a SS longbox that should be heading this may next week.  Can't wait to put it to use this fall.

Dan wittenberg  longboxes are incredibly cool and sound great he's from the northwest so he doesn't get talked about has much but WOW are they quality. Everybody unfamiliar Google his name and watch the videos on his site you will be impressed.

I think eveyone  should have a Steve Mann longbox

My next longbox will be a watkins fiddle longbox.

Short boxes

You GOT to have a Watkins fiddle,,they sound so different.

Albert Paul anything, reasonable price, styling ,sound great and not a real long wait time.

And get on the two year list for a Steve Mann or Darin Dawkins or Lamar Williams state of the art masterpiece.

Solid advice there I would add Darin Dawkins for the long box and Mike Lapp for the short box.

It's just depends on what your looking for in wood combo's.. Sound is my number one preference ... ever call maker has some woods that perform better for them than other call makers ..... sometimes a 50 dollar short box or long box can sound as good 150 dollar boxes ....  Sound, sound, sound is number one in my book...

Jeff mackamey and Marlin Watkins make amazing long boxes.
