I see pioneer sells both flat and crowned frames. Is there advantages/disadvantages to either?

Hey Terry....I have been using the crowned frames recently and they seem to work fine, 30 years ago I used flat frames and they worked fine too. I will say that I used to "tack" my flat frames to keep the reeds in place, haven't had to do that with the crowned frames.

The flat frames basically require a divit with some sort of punch.  Crowned is best or at least I think so.
Nothing like seeing a kids eyes light up upon hearing that first gobble.

Flat are good for stacked calls.
