Going to Menard county, Texas . Wondering what the turkeys are doing this week, what are they feeding on ? Any info is greatly appreciated. Good luck out there, thanx for the replies' as I cannot reply on old gobbler

In that part of the state, id venture to say they're feeding at feeders even if there ain't any running on the place you're hunting, I'm sure the neighbors are. Those birds cover some ground around there. Haven't been that far south in the state hunting, but I imagine they're a couple weeks ahead of us, so I'm certain you have hens laying and possibly getting ready to sit.

It's been really dry. Hunting over water during the heat of the day is a good way to bag a bird. That being said, there's a chance for rain in the area Friday and Saturday.
