Our weather hasn't been good for the morels yet, but hopefully next week I can score some for a meal.

It is about over here in Tn. I had about 1 hour of daylight left and rushed over to a spot that has been producing late.  They were up everywhere. I could have picked a half pound just on the dead ones and broken pieces.
It was a good year! We get very few of the huge cream colored morels but sometimes the numbers make up for it.

What part of Southern Indiana were you in?

We found 195 the other day, but 170 of them came from the last place we tried.  First time there too...

I was in the Bedford area. Going back next week to hunt, I hope all the rain they got/getting will bring on some fresh ones!

I would think the very end of April and just about anytime in May at your lattitude. 2 years ago I found edible yellows in the first week of June in N. MI.
