Is the PG .555 to tight in my Rem. 870??

I recently picked up a Rem. 870 20 ga for my wife to hunt with. I shot it some Saturday with Hevi 13 3" #6, #7, and Mag Blends.  None threw a good pattern and I didn't even bother counting the pellets since it wasn't so good..

Should I go shoot them all again to count the numbers or should I save my ammo, get a new choke, and try again??  What choke would be better suited for this ammo?  Thanks!

I am pretty sure PG would let you swap the 555 for a 570 and that should do you well.

The SumToy .562 and Hvy 13 7's should get you in the 150's. Plenty good enough for 45 yards. Here's some pattern pics of mine out of an 870 youth.

I went and shot the 870 today with the PG .555..  I shot Hevi #7's at a lasered 40 yards and put 120 and 124 in the 10". Gun has a 26" or 28" bbl, I can't remember. Is this good, bad, ugly, etc??

That is OK, it will kill all day at 40-45 yes, but your gun would probably pattern better with the PG .570, being that it has a 26" or 28" pipe!

Yep.
