Cox trumpet scores again!

I'm on a roll with this call.  I heard nothing on the roost this morning so I backed out and returned around noon. I slipped down to a spot on a creek line that I knew birds traveled and settled in.  Gave a few clucks and a soft yelp and nothing. Repeated this about every 10 to 15 minutes. On the 4th series of clucks and yelps he answered rather enthusiastically about 100 yards down the creek. I stopped calling and a few minutes later I heard him spitting and drumming as he appeared from behind a thick patch of palmettos. He walked straight to the tree I was against. It's amazing how well they can pinpoint the sound of a call. Stopped him at 20 yards and rolled him. I'm felling mighty blessed and I'm loving these trumpets even more.
