Anyone tried out the longbeards xr in the 20? I've got a 870 with a 21" bbl and was curious how they shoot. I've got a sumtoy.562 that I bought to shoot federal heavyweights but like everything else I'm a day late and dollar short since they have been discontinued and finding the new tss is about like finding a winning lottery ticket. I do have a box and a half of mag blends so it's probably going to be my go to setup.

Out of my 870 youth the longbeard #5's ranged from (80-130)-10 @ 40yds depending on choke & The 6's ranged from (120-160)-10 @ 40yds depending on choke.  The 5's were best out of my tightwad choke which is .570. And the 6' were best out of my trulock federal 7 choke.  Not sure on that choke restriction but i believe it's in the .560-.565 range. I think your sumtoy should work fine with either to 40yds.

I have the same choke in a 870 with 21" barrel and it shoots Hevi 6's, Win Supreme 5's and TSS very well.

Recurve

I have the youth 870 w/21"bbl  I am shooting LB #6  w/Carlson's  .568 and it shoots a very good pattern out to 35+ yds
