I'm looking to set up a 20ga 870 youth and have herd mixed reviews about the Rem. SF choke. I plan on shooting H13 7's and was thinking IC or PG 555. I would like to know what some of you are using. What choke and what kind of numbers you are getting. Thanks

I just bought the same gun and ordered a choke from Sumtoy. Call or PM William and he will hook you up. I don't have it yet, just ordered it Monday, but from what I've seen I will be pleased with his work.

the Rem. SF or any of the chokes in the .570-.580 area will give you a great HUNTING pattern
the .550-.555 are real good at killing  paper
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I get in the 130's at 40 yards with the RSF and Hevi #7's.  For me personally it put up better numbers than the SSX .550 last year.  I didn't pattern the 20 this year yet, since I'm probably not hunting with it this season.

I have already got the Rem SF lead only choke but Remington told me not to shoot Hevi through it so I went ahead and got one of the Rem SF for Hevi for $10 (why not try it). I have been reading alot of other post and I may be wrong but it seems the the Fed. HW 7's are out doing the H13 7's. I may have to get some of both. What are yalls opinion on the Fed HW 7's?

Same for me.  At 30 yards I'm getting over 200 in a 10" with the RSF and Hevi 13 3" #7.

The SSX .550 had slightly higher numbers but not by much.

I've shot between 50-75 rounds of Tungsten based shot through my original RSF 'lead only' choke w/o any problems and it still looks new.
The only thing that is going to hit with more energy than the Federal HW's is handloaded TSS.  The H-13 7's did patterm better than the Federals as far as numbers in the ten, 180's vs 150's, but I've shot 2 birds with the Federals( 6's not 7's) and it stoned them.  The 1st at 44 yards.  I'll be hunting with Federal 7's this year with my remaining Nitro 7's as B-up.
