I was drawn for the week long Spring Turkey Hunt on this CA the 2nd week of Missouri's season.  Could someone with knowledge of this CA please share some information with me on this place as to how it hunts and where they would recommend I concentrate my efforts??  Thanks!

Get your maps out and go from there. I had one guy give me a rough idea of the lay of the land last year but nobody responded to hunting it. He lived in that county. Do a search and my post will come up. I was going to go for the archery season but wasn't able to make it. Good luck

You may have already looked at all of this info. I have never turkey hunted this CA. Quail hunted area back in the 80's when we still had huntable quail population. I would say if you don't have topo map either on GPS or phone app. You can stop at National Forest Service office in Ava, MO and get a map of area. I would think the birds would work their way to the food plots to feed sometime during the morning. I would think that the Gobbler's would be there to feed as well as strut. Find a few high ridges to listen from that close to or adjacent to open areas would be a good place to start to locate a bird or two. I think hens are starting to nest been seeing several single hens by themselves by 07:30 the last week or so.  :z-twocents:
