I'm looking at ordering another copper pot call. I have a 3 1/2 in cocobolo copper over glass with redwood mushroom tip striker, and love this call. But, I want to try a 3" pot and not sure what wood combo would sound the best.

I recently built a 3 inches bocote copper pot with a hickory stricker..customer loved it

The harder the wood the better.  I've found that the stuff I have stabilized, have sounded the best.

Cocobolo makes a great copper call....even in 3"....personally I prefer a slate soundboard with copper....mellows it down some.

I also have a 3" macasser ebony copper over slate that is a killer.

But yes, anything super hard and super dense is best.....find a piece of snakewood, and you'll have a call that will sing!

Iam little different I like the copper in a med hard wood like ash just gives it more of a mellower tone,, if their not built right they just sound like a tin can in very hard wood
Not taking orders for calls at this time ,,,but my have some on hand  ,,,I Dont sell strikers
I do like copper pot calls,,,,Get them While u can
