New England turkeys slow to gobble

This is the longest in 16 years that I haven't herd a single gobble, yet. I keep records of the first gobbles every year, and have done so for 16 years on my farm. The weather has a lot to do with it. We still have some snow. I usually post the history of the gobble dates every year on my place. Just wondering if any other North East guys are noticing the same. The season opens here in about 4 weeks and not sure what to make of this. I had 4 huge long beards in my yard a few days ago, no hens. I figured I would hear them gobble as the next day was 50' and calm, but not a peep.

They just started behind my house in the mountains of western Md. We had some light gobbling early on but it was just because the weather was so unusually warm. Now the Tom's are starting to seek out hens and break up. Starting to hear them roosted separately and have seen some strutting for hens. It about right on schedule for us.
