My recipe of late for those 30 - 70 degree hunts =

1 long sleeve tech material t-shirt
1 lightweight camo shirt
1 camo fleece full zip jacket
1 lightweight leafy jacket

Some days I may skip the shirt and just go long sleeve T and fleece under leafy jacket. Mix & match any of the assortment above, and place unneeded in my vest as the day progresses. Or hike up the mountain with minimal, and throw the jacket on once I'm settled.

I picked up a leafy jacket at Bass Pro that is hands down the most comfortable I have ever worn. It's light weight, full zip, and full smooth poly material - so its not to stiff like some of the mesh styles can be. The leafy outer layer is almost like wearing nothing at all - which is ideal for over everything or just the long sleeve T-shirt, depending on temps.

This is a awesome some idea. Thanks suggesting it.

I have been checking out a lot of the suggestions and I think I am going with the mossy oak jacket in original bottomland. It looks like it is what I want in a jacket for spring and fall. Thanks everyone for all the excellent advice, it was very helpful!

I have 3 layer for the spring
Sitka core long sleeve - bottom
Sitka traverse hoodie - mid
Sitka jet stream light vest/fanatic vest (dependent on how cold it is) - top

That'll get me 30 to 80+ comfortably by shedding layers as needed and they pack down to nothing in my vest.

Hoodie with Under Armour underneath, very quiet, warm and comfy.

10X makes a lightweight jacket that looks like it would do the trick.  I just layer up under my Ol' Tom shirt and I'm good to go.

I'm a hoodie guy like others.
Just received my new hoodie for this year

Borderjumper, I hate that they moved the season back! I heard the reason was that  hunters surveyed said they wanted it moved back cause they weren't having any luck early in season. Those same guys that said they can't get birds early sure are not going to get them with the later date. They just want to hunt in warmer weather, that's all. Ohio really sets their seasons so you have the least chance of success, especially waterfowl lol! Well I have ordered the mossy oak jacket, a new pair of pants, AND a hoody, all in original bottomland. They were on clearance at the Mossy Oak online store, and I used the coupon code to save an additional 15%! Y'all are costing me money ha ha! Yes I do layer, I have some light weight fleece pullovers and lightweight polypro that I use when necessary, just needed a light jacket to round out my outerwear. I liked the walls packable, but the original mobl sucked me in and it was on sale. I will let you know how they are when it comes in.

Not  a. Good computer guy here and hopefully I did not screw things up.Ward you are right on about fair weather hunter. Most of my birds have been in the first 7-10 days of season.I have been a waterfowl hunter for around 40 years in Ohio and it continues to go downhill.will send ocassional scounting reports in the next couple of week.looking for somewhere in the south zone but spoiled since we own our property and not too keen on public areas

I've had the Predator Adrenaline jacket in spring green since they came out with.  I it for spring and fall hunting.  I just wear their normal cargo spring green pants and rubber boots too.
