I bought one of those when they first came out. Black, 26" barrel and I put a GT .665 in it. I shot Federal Premium 3.5 #6's and it was an awesome turkey gun. Still have it but rarely pack it to the woods anymore as an elbow injury makes it hard for me to operate a pump.

Just like everyone says it depends...but I agree with an earlier post.  I have had more consistently good results in various guns with the Indian Creek.  I have an 870 like yours except I had my barrel cut down to 21" and it loves the Longbeard XR 3" #5's

Long Beards shoot well through dang near any turkey choke in the 870.  Mag Blends, now thats a different story.  Jellyhead .660 or .665 patterns excellent for both from many people on this site.

If you can find one, get yourself an original Jellyhead in either .660 or .665 and call it a day!

This with hevi 7's

The 28 on my Super Magazine 870 just wouldn't pattern well.
I dropped to a 24" and put  665 Jelly Head on it.
And a Limb Saver pad.
Love it now.

In one word, PROVEN.
