Got up and did a little hunting before work and it paid off! Shot him at 7:35. I have heard this bird in the same spot for the past 4 weeks. He gobbled there the weekend before opening weekend, and he has been roosted in the same spot every morning. Just off our property lines. This morning he messed up and crossed the property lines after he flew down. I set up about 75 yards off the line in one of our deer hunting members food plot. This bird had to come every bit of 300 yards! I called and within 20 minutes he was strutting and drumming in the food plot. I thought he was going to hang up on me at first he strutted in circles in the plot for 10 minutes before i gave a few soft calls and he spotted  my full strut decoy and he broke out in a run. Busted his beak at 25 yards!

Nice work. Those Ga birds are being a pain for many. Congrats!
