Lightning Strikes in Md !

I was fortunate to take a really good bird - maybe my best to date. This guy never gobbled on the roost and would not answer my mouth call at all. As soon as I hit him with my Ralph Snodgrass mini boat he hammered back. I called once more and he replied with another gobble - I never made another call and shot him at 15 yards. He had 1 1/2" spurs was 25lbs and had a 10" long but spindly beard. Awesome bird and even better call!

Good job. Just another example of why it's important to carry more than a couple of calls. While we never know why one call works and another doesn't, we know the importance of seeking the sound a gobbler likes.

Congrats! Heck of a bird.
That's not the first bird to fall to a Snozz mini boat this season!
