Had a great Saturday morning in the woods in Michigan. Had 6 birds gobbling within 100 yds and had 3 pitch out and land about 40 yds from me. Waited till the strutter got clear and made the shot on another good bird. Hunt was over at 6:25 am. The Tom weighed in at 24 lbs, has a 10 1/2 in beard and 1 3/8 spur on one side, the other broke at 1 1/4 inch. Took my seventh bird in 2 seasons with the Winchester long beards in 3 1/2 in #5 shot and all one shot kills. Used a 2 reed mouth call by Osceola game calls to take him.

Almost forgot to mention Snapper for the turkey tote. Man it came in handy for my bird and my buddies bird. It was a half mile walk out and the tote worked great.  Thanks

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
