Illinois Opener Dead Quiet

Currently setting in the back 40, trying  to call in dinner and haven't heard a gobble, yelp, or cluck all morning. Been here since 530 and have heard every critter but a turkey. 

Anyone else hearing anything?

Were you at?  Far down South last week for the opener was hot, 5 between 4 guys.

Same here in west central Ill. No gobbling at all on the roost. We did however double up a couple of hrs later...

I'm located over in Greene County Illinois, close to west central. Its the northern zone. Had a crappie front come thru the past weekend and screwed everything up. Cold as hell here now. Heard a few guys killed out but they didn't hear anything either.

Supposed to start warming up.. Saturday opener 70s most of next week should be good if the warmer weather doesn't bring wind an rain

Yeah, I think Thursday and Friday will be ok and then this weekend should be great.

Finally heard a bird, but was on the other property and then a few minutes later I heard a shot. Better than hearing nothing I geuss.
