Killed my second bird of the season today. Got flooded out at daylight this morning, but later on decided to set up on a well traveled logging road to do some blind calling. Popped in a Hooks Persuader, and got a gobble to my first yelp. He was fairly deep, about five or six hundred yards away up on a ridgetop. After a little light calling, he was closing the distance fast and came into sight about a hundred yards away. This bird put on a show, strutting in and gobbling every other step. I let him make it to forty yards, but he didn't live to 39. Decent bird, ten inch beard and one inch spurs.

Sucking in my neck of the woods. Yall are killing me hunting during the week.....dang I remember those days.

Don't worry, my hunting during the week is a temporary thing. Happened to catch a few well timed days off of work due to the bad weather. Worked out well for me though  :z-guntootsmiley:
