H.S. Strut black magic

 I have a H.S. Strut black magic call with the anodized aluminum surface that I sanded. Should I have done that?

Lots of people prefer to sand down and remove the anodized finish, so no harm there. If I were doing it I would just sand off the original calling surface area, that way if I didn't like it I could spin the pot and still use the anodized area...
