Here are two pot calls I got from Lon at Nashville last week. The first is a black acrylic slate and the second is a Cocobolo anodized aluminum. Both are killers. I have kicked myself for not buying a Yellowheart slate I ran the last day there. But heck, I have never run one of Lon's pot calls I did not like.

Always enjoy getting a peek at your collection.  I've got an Acrylic "tumbled" aluminum ordered from Lon that I'm extremely excited about...

I played one of those at the Convention. Awesome sound. I would have bought it if I had not had the stoned aluminum calls coming from Darrin. Darrin and Lon are great friends and I think Darrin gave Lon a few pieces of that aluminum to try. Two of the best call makers and finest men out there in my opinion.

That's funny, I actually was curious if the tumbled was similar to Darrin's stoned aluminum. I almost bought one of Darrin's new aluminum pots but didn't pull the trigger because I have one from Lon ordered.  Lon actually recommended the tumbled over the anodized, said he really liked the sound of it.

Great pair. If we bought all the calls we wanted at Nashville we would be living in your cabin after our wives kicked us out.

I still regret not buying the Yellowheart slate from Lon on Saturday when we went back by to see him. Bruce got a package from the NWTF today. Sorry dog won some silent auction stuff.

I was asked why I "scuffed" the playing surface on the aluminum call. That is Rain Chalk on the surface. I use this a lot on anodized aluminum calls. It sure grips the striker well.
