Revitalizing an old paddle call?

I have a Quaker Boy field grade boat paddle that is pushing 15 years old.  It was fine when I originally bought it but just doesn't stack up to the great calls I now own.  The body and paddle are both mahogany and I've recently been wondering if a new paddle would bring this call to life a bit.  Was wondering if anyone has ever tried adding perhaps a purpleheart, yellowheart, maple or cedar paddle to an old production call and ever had it amount to anything.  Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have on this idea.

Spring Creek Calls

I've done this a few times for friends. I'm constantly switching paddles/lids on my own calls that I hunt with. Let me know if you'd like me to give it a go on yours.
