I scored a old treebark 1187 the pawn shop today. Only flaw is it's missing the front bead. I know the newer Remington's have pressed in beads. This one looks like it may have been threaded once but it's hard to see in that tiny hole. Anybody ever tapped one for a screw in bead and what size threads? Any  help is appreciated.

Most are 6-48.You might check with a gunsmith to make sure it is factory threaded and someone didn't have it threaded. You can order one from brownells that is factory.

If it is threaded, then it would be a 6-48 thread.  You can get them from Brownell's.

LOL, what he ^^^ said.

You could go to the hardware store and grab a 6-48 bolt to try before ordering a bead.

You could go a different route and put a set of sights on it,Tru-glow or some other brand they are pretty nice since a lot of them can be adjusted.

I recommend you put a scope on it. In my opinion, that's the way to go. I have the same gun with a scope and it is shown in my profile picture. Good luck.
