So i have been working on a way that I could video my own hunt. I thought I would take an old mini camera  and attach it to my shooting stick. Covered it with some camo tape it works OK. These birds were across the road down by the creek. I had been calling them for sometime, they would respond but not come. And why should they, they already had their own party going on with dancing girls and everything. But patience paid off finally. If you look closely you can see a bird or two on the other side of the fence. This is the only bird I will take from my property this year, the drought has hit the population pretty hard. Monday I will try some BLM that gets pretty heavy pressure.
This bird looked to be a 2 year old. Had a full tail and a huge for around here 9 3/4 inch beard. But the spurs were of a young bird.
Wish I had shot the other one now, but just happy to get one down.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
