im new to wood working and interested in putting some stripes on some scratch boxes. How are you guys doing it? I have seen some awesome looking boxes and scratchers with dark stripes on them.
Thanks

I don't do box calls, but I believe the stripes are inlays. Most guys make them from exotic woods like purple heart or bloodwood. But you could make them out of any wood I imagine. If you want to get real fancy, you can find premade inlays online with patterns. As for me, I laminate my own blanks to put stripes in the call.
This one has premade inlays that I found online.
