Think I may try 6 shot next, have a little more knock down if I can get a good pattern also

BowBendr

Big numbers for 1-1/4 oz.....

Tail Feathers

That'll kill 'em!  Excellent numbers for, especially for the 1 1/4 oz load.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

I'd stick with the #7s. They will have more than enough power to shoot out to as far as your pattern will allow.

Congratulations! That will certainly do the job.

Thanks,

I second this.  My 12 only puts up about 10 more pellets with HW #7 and it's deadly at any reasonable range.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Dtrkyman

Hw is a different animal, 7s are more than enough!
