Hey guys just wondering if any of you had a 835 with knoxx nrs stock I have spent a lot of time and money setting this gun up as my go to turkey gun and love the way it turned out only to find when I shoot 3.5" shells through it it punches my cheekbone really hard almost to the point of throwing stock away it has caused me to want to flinch not bc of recoil but bc I'm know I'm about to get punched below the eye I'm aware this is prolly a gun fit issue but does anyone have any experience with this? Also I have the power pack accessory and it makes it worse, I don't get it bc a couple years back I set up a gun just like this one 835 24" bbl and used an ati pistol grip and had no problem like this any ideas or info or suggestions would be appreciated and is it pitch lop or a drop issue? Thanks

I think I had my face too far forward on the stock I moved my face back just forward of the recoil pad and I think that's gonna solve it, but my cheekbone is too sore to find out today lol but any input is still appreciated thanks guys

So I guess no one has ever heard of this happening? That's about my luck lol

My 870 came with this stock as Remington done it for one year, in the excitement I did not read a small piece of paper that was under the stock that said do not place your cheek unto stock as hard as you would to a standard stock or you would receive "cheek slap". Yes I got it twice and was about to take it back when I found the little piece of paper. Since then and many turkeys and coyotes later I lightly!! apply my face to stock and all is well. Hope this helps.

Mine is the nrs no recoil suppresion but I guess it would still apply? Thanks for you input man I this has been really bothering me as I have invested a lot of time and $ into this particular setup and I love the stock I have my lop really short like the first notch out and I wasn't even getting my face fully on the actual comb of the stock I have shot it once today with my head just forward of the recoil pad and it's a lot better but it still seems to bite worse than any other pistol grip stock I have tried :thanks:
