Two weeks ago I took my children to play in the water below the damn. There is a nice sandy are to play and I brought my pup to do some retrieves. About a half hour into our fun I noticed the pup eating something. I then noticed fishing line coming out of his mouth. I did not dare try to pull on the string because I did not know what might be on the end. I took him to the vet for an xray and sure enough he swallowed a hook.
He had surgery and they cut about an 8 inch slice in his stomach. I had to keep him tide up with little to no exercise and no swimming for 2 weeks. Last night I took him swimming and he was so excited to go.
Good to have him back to normal. Its amazing to me that I dropped him off at the vet and had him back in my possesion in about 2 1/2 hours. He acted completely normal the next day. Imaging if that would have been a person how long of a hospital stay that would have been.
