 I'm planning a trip to the Smokeys the first of May and plan on checking out the Cherokee Natl Forrest. I was wondering what the turkey population is like and how bad the pressure was.

I wish I could help you out on that but I don't know anything about that area. I will see what I can find out for you. May take me a little bit but I will see  what I can do. Maybe turkeybow may know more than I do. Sorry.

I asked a guy at work today that hog/bear hunts it and he said "I wouldn't drive down there to turkey hunt." He said they are down there but are scattered. Good luck.

I have never turkey hunted it.  I've heard that there are birds there but you have to get off of the beaten path.
