Tail mount beard or no beard

Well I got one of my tail mounts up tonight.  I had the help of a cool shop teacher after work help me get it cut out and finished up.  Now the question, beard or no beard.  I will add the spurs to the string when they are finished.

Beard it is.  I like the mount a lot and  have 45 minutes of work and $0 into it.  I also like the fact that I can add more beards/spurs in the future.  I have always wanted to figure out a way to keep the beautiful back feathers on a mount and I think I did that.

I have seen a similar mount at a local bow shop, I think only difference was they had wings as well, I'll have to snap a pic next time I'm there, could be something you could add later!

It needs a woodburning/painting in that nicely framed area under the tail.  You can still hang the beard there, maybe a strutting gobbler to one side and a gobbling gobbler to the other?  Or a hen gobbler pair?

I like the wood burning idea but lack the skills.  I would end up turning it into fire wood.
