Officially turkey season is over here.  I've been told or read: How fun turkey hunting is.  The 8 million different philosophies regarding turkey hunting.  The 300,000 diffrent calls.  However,  No one told me the void it would leave behind when it was over.  Here is to a long 11 months.   :blob10:

Exactly.   Hoping this isn't a leap year and I have to wait that extra day

Takes me months to get over the loss of turkey season!  At least I shot a Longbeard on my last hunt of the year!

Until next time mister gobbler

Yeah bow season kinda helps get me through, but deer don't gobble.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

It is tough. I duck, deer, and fall turkey hunt to try and cope, but its not a cure.

Fall turkey hunting can be very fun however..

I start coyote hunting in October.  Then deer in mid October.  I might add turkey to the list.

Planning my 2015 season as we speak, it gets me through the rest of the year.

I've finally gotten over it. Fishing has helped. Now it's time to get my mineral blocks put out and dig up my trail cameras. Bucks be growing some bone pretty soon

While the sounds and vocalizations aren't quite the same, the fall season can be quite fun. Shoot most of them with a bow while deer hunting that time of year. That's quite rewarding.
