I used xx6s for years, killed many birds with them, but the longbeards do pattern better. LBs are all I shoot now in my 870 super mag. As far as recoil they all kick the xxxxxxxx out of me. I pattern with a lead sled ,and when I shoot a gobbler it doesn't bother me till  my heart calms back down!!!!
