I tagged this fine gobbler yesterday, a few days before the North Carolina season closes on Saturday. He weighed 22 pounds, 11 inch beard and 1.25 (r) and 1.125 (l) spurs. He has a real pretty barred tail fan. He only gobbled 4 times in the span of an hour and took his sweet time about coming in range.

Nice bird! I killed one a few years back that had some white barring in his fan like that, definitely neat.
