Set up on a bird this morning on the roost, gobbled like crazy. Nothing changed when he hit the ground. Only one small problem, he'd gobble like he was on fire but would walk away. I tried everything, moved on him three times. He had moved out in a open field, as I sat there thinking of how he was just one of "those" birds and I was wasting my time I heard a different bird gobble back from where I had called from before. Perfect timing I thought, so I back tracked a little and got set up. He gobbled a few times and I could tell he was coming. Finally I see movement and there is two of them. They hit a small opening and both went into full strut. After enjoying the show for a minute I dropped the 3.5" #5 Long Beard hammer at 32 yards. He is the lightest bird out of the ones I have killed this year at 19lbs. 14oz., but is one of my best.

11 7/8" beard, 1 3/8" and 1 7/16" spurs
