I shot a bearded hen for the opener with my bow and thought I did something pretty spectacular! But doesn't sound yo uncommon? Would u shoot a bearded hen? It has a 7 inch beard

I think every turkey hunter at some point wishes to shoot a bearded hen, even if it's out of spite because she messed up you morning. Congrats.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Personally, taking any turkey via a bow is a trophy in itself! As for bearded hen, I wouldn't, but my son did on his 2nd bird ever. 8 1/2 beard. She now stands in the entryway.
