I got my 3rd gobbler of the season this morning in Tennessee. He gobbled before daylight and I got about 60 yards away from his roost tree and when he flew down he went silent. Some hens across the hollow began to yelp loudly and he didnt gobble to them either.I heard another gobbler about 200 yards away,so I gave him some loud yelps on the slate and he gobbled back and low and behold a gobbler gobbled under the hill about 15 yards away.I had a very close shot and he was mine!He weighed 19 lbs,10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Genesis 27:3 - Now then, get your weapons—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I love golf.  It keeps a lot of people out of the turkey woods.

The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.
