I had a surprise in the mail today from a fellow OG member & thought I'd share it on here. I gave my son several nicknames for a barrel decal on his turkey gun. After a few messages back & forth this is the one he went with & we had made up. I can't wait for him to get home from school & gets to see it ;D

Thanks again Bryan...it's awesome :icon_thumright:

Thanks ;) I wish I had my sons reaction on video. His reply went something like, :SHAAAAAWEEEET!

Anyways, nicknames (The Tominator & The Widow Maker) are names of mouth calls I make. I also had several decals of my call business name to add to the other side of our barrels or on my truck window.

Why shoot a 3.5"? Because they don't make a 4".

Looks cool but I wouldnt want that white on my barrel in the turkey woods.

Draws attention to a moving barrel when getting in position.

More importantly safety. Red, white and blue is a no go in th turkey woods.

Thanks for pointing out your concerns :icon_thumright: However, if a gobbler is seeing that 3/8"X8.5" white decal while I'm getting "into position", I've got other issues I really need to address :TooFunny:

As for the white color, again I've got bigger issues going on if another hunter is close enough to pick out that decal & mistake it for a gobbler. I know a few guys that have white barrel decals (hunting public land to boot) & never having an issue or being shot at ;)

Best of luck this spring ;D

I thought the same thing as soon as I saw it. That glossy white lettering is going to stick out like a sore thumb. Anything that flashes white in the woods is like a beacon for drawing attention to it. The concept is alright, but I'd be using matte black instead of glossy white for the lettering.
Of course, that's the trend though. Guys have more neon accessories on their bows  than camouflage anymore. I'll never understand that logic.

Bryan did 3 for me awhile ago and I love them. He does great work.....

Like the idea but I would have done it in green. As long as the bird is in front of the muzzle he'll never see it so you should be OK.
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!
