Bird down on Mississippi public ground!!!!!

Killed a bird this morning on public land. I had a friend tell me about where they were roosting. Slipped in there this AM and they gobbled about 700-800 yards west of me. Slipped in on them, and sat down about 60 yards from them. There were 3 or 4 gobblers, a few jakes, and  a few hens. Luckily the gobblers were right in front of me. The bird flew down at 6:06 and he was dead at 6:07!!!! All together I was not sat down for 10 mins!!! It was definitely a hunt to remember! And also my first public land bird!!

Really great that you were able to get you one this morning. Congratulations. You must have done a number to his head judging by the amount of blood on your pants. That's the good blood though. Way to go!!!
