I've been wanting a Harrison Hoot'n Stick for quite a few season now and I believe this year will be the year to get it.    For the ones of you that have used them or have experience with them...is there any difference in the Synthetic or Walnut sound wise?  Thanks for the help!

Woodsman4God gave me one a couple years ago in walnut. It is awesome. Best sounding owl call ever.

To answer your question, no. There is not a difference in sound between the synthetic and wood.

Thanks for the information!

Redarrow...I love a owl call...so I hope I can do it justice!

Synthetic works fine, as this owl came in to see who the new guy was in town.

I've got one, but can't make it sound like an owl to save my life!

I owl with voice but I do carry a Harrison for mornings with a sore throat.  I can't get the volume from the Harrison I can with my voice but it does sound authentic.  I carry matching hootn stick and crow call in cocobolo because I can.  I like nice wood and all calls in my vest are wood.  But I have blown the synthetic and it will work just as well.

Skeeterbait--I have almost a matched pair of those two calls--wouldnt go in the woods without them

VA_Birdhunter--you just can't go wrong with a Hootin Stick. I love mine. I can't say as i ever heard of anybody that didn't like theirs either.

catdaddy....Lord willing I'll have one in my hands in the very near future!  I love using an owl call!!   I've been hearing good things about this call for quite sometime and have put off getting one long enough I think.

I use it like I do a short reed goose call, I can't believe how realistic they sound!

James make a good one for sure.

I had James (owlface) turn me an owl hooter in his shop a number of years ago and absolutely love it.  I can't tell you how many shock gobbles I have gotten w/it between now and then, even at midday.

Good luck
