Sad End to A Season.....

I was planning on closing out the season here in NY by taking the last week off of work & hunting it hard. On Friday (5-24-13) that plan fell apart. My herniated & bulging discs in my lower back gave out on my way into the woods. The pain was excruciating & I am still so very sore so I think I am going to just have to eat tag soup this year until the fall. All-in-all it was a great season and I seen a lot of hens & plenty of jakes I could have shot, but just to be able to get out there & chase those longbeards I am thankful. I look forward to next season. Good luck to all of you who are still hunting......

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
