My season is finnished. It was fun though! I was lucky enough to get my limit in Mississippi, Missouri and South Dakota. I wish I could go again but I need to save some vacation for my Wife. Here are some pictures.

That is Awesome!!!! Did you hunt public land or private? A seven bird season is spectacular!

"around here, turkey hunting is more like a religion than a pastime.getting close to nature, getting back to where we most belong is something we hold sacred.when we do get to take one home, we do so with reverence"

I killed 2 on Indian Reservation and 1 on private. The other 5 were on public land.

Looks like a great season.
What's it take to make ya smile???? lol. Just teasing.

My plan is to make it back to South Dakota next Spring.  I live in Missouri, but South Dakota is an entirely different experience.  I have also hunted in Mississippi and if you are shooting those birds on public, you have my respect.

wanting/planning to go to South Dakota, is it a"good" different experience? Plenty of birds?

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
