Been a tough season for me as I missed two mature gobblers by not settling in on them, but we've been hearing a ton of gobbles and birds have been working. Today was very similar but the birds were very hennaed up and hesitant to work. Got this bird going later in the morning and move up close when he got quiet. A load of hevi-13 #7's did the job. 20lbs 10 ozs, 10.5 in beard, and 1 1/8 spurs. A good bird for sure.

Good job on a fine bird.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
