Just curious to how things are shapping up this year in Nebraska.  Last year was my first time to turkey hunt the state and it was pretty rough hunting.  We saw plenty of birds but for the most part the Toms were henned up and unresponsive.  We did manage to harvest 3 birds, and missed 3 more......We were there for opening week of shotgun, and are returning again this year.  I know that last year with the early spring things seemed to be ahead of schedule.  How is it looking for this year?  I will be hitting the sandhills region if that makes a difference.

I am hoping that this year we experience those Nebraksa turkeys that everyone talks about running to your gun barrel at the sound of anything that remotely sounds like a hen.

Thanks.
