Cummings Georgia area-any good state land for Turkeys?

I was thinking of road tripping down to visit my mom for Easter & maybe doing a couple days of hunting in the area IF there is any good ground to hunt. I do hunts on new state land here in Michigan all the time. It is hit and miss, but always fun, so I figure it would be much the same in Georgia.

If you want some company on a hunt, I'd sure love to tag along. Learn, make some new friends, & see the great state of Georgia while hunting all at once...
I am going to bag my first Turkey this spring if it is the last thing I do!

Dawson Forest is public land near Cumming and has a decent amount of birds but is also popular with hunters as its several thousand acres. Wear some comfortable snake boots if you hunt it cause you'll put some miles on your feet and are liable to run into Mr. No-shoulders.

Good luck should you decide to make the trip.

snakes! Don't worry to much about those fellas up here! I'll need some new snake stoppers for my legs I guess. Better start a new thread on that somewhere!
