Good work.  Clicked off the safety twice yesterday.  First had some jakes come from behind second bird I couldn't see his beard without my dang glasses!

 That's called 'turkey hunting'.

I haven't been back on here in a couple of days, but we did go back and try to hunt the bird again in the next morning with no luck. We hunted until around 11 and never heard the first bird after 7, and he only gobbled once on the limb at daylight. We have been picking up around here and folks are starting to kill some birds, hopefully I can get it done in the next few days!

Good luck and good decision! I may have taken the shot - don't know I wasn't there, but I have never regretted making the choice I felt was right and the one that allowed me to walk back to the truck with my head held up.

I have seen hens killed by over anxious hunters and that is a once in a lifetime learning curve... Those guys never shot another bird without seeing the whole bird and in a decent opening!
