Isaiah 53:3-6

3 He was despised and rejected—
    a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
    He was despised, and we did not care.
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
    it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
    a punishment for his own sins!
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
    crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
    He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
    We have left God's paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
    the sins of us all.

Thank you Wendell. A friend asked me the other day "Why do you deserve to go to heaven ?" The only possible answer ." I don't".and yet God is waiting for me.

We need to be reminded of this daily. Thank you Wendell for sharing that with us and thank you Jesus for Your sacrifice on the cross, even though we (I) don't deserve it.

I heard something the other day at church that really hit me and stuck.  Our pastor said "have you ever heard anyone saying God just isnt fair, why is this happening to me. If God loved me this wouldnt happen to me, he isnt fair"  and he looked at them and said "Your right, God isnt fair.  If God was truly fair, he would throw you into the pits of Hell where you deserve to be right now.  But our God is merciful and just, He loves us.  Hes not fair at all"  Thank you Lord for loving us and for not being fair!!
