I have a 1300 Short Turkey with 18.5" barrel.   Right now I am shooting a Wrights .670 non ported choke and getting around 180+/- in the 10 ring at 40 yds with a 8/9 TSS duplex load and 44gr Lil Gun.

I know I should be getting almost 100 more pellets in the 10" at 40.   I was wondering if anyone is shooting TSS in the 1300 and what combo they have found works best.  One suggestion was to back it down to 40gr on powder, another was to open the choke up more. Just trying to narrow down what I need to do since it isn't exactly cheap to test these things and I haven't built a trap yet.   :)

Thanks !

Not too bad, I can't find my sheet I wrote on but I believe the 20" numbers were well into the 200's.

That's the 3" 2 ounce load correct? Its rare for tss not to shoot good no matter what choke. With that short of barrel I would try a .655

Are you shooting at a big piece of paper so you can see the whole load? I've shot some tss through a 1300 with 21" barrel but not that load. Different powder and hull. It was also a 1 3/4oz load and it was putting up 330s in the 10 and 200+ in the 20. It was a mad max tube..660 I believe

Yes, I am shooting a 3" 2oz load.  1 oz 8's and 1 oz 9's.

I was thinking I was over choked with the .670 but now I am wondering if I am too open.

My 1300 patterns great using a TruGlo Gobbler Stopper (.665) & Winchester Supreme HVTL 3in #6 if that helps you at all.....

Shoot the factory full and that should give ya an idea. Normally the shorter the barrel the tighter the choke
