So yeah, they are REALLY stupid looking but has anyone actually tried one? I know birds, domestic chickens and turkeys in particular, will attack a messed up bird and eventually kill it...That instinct to kill an injured or unfit individual is pretty strong and pretty universal...I'm wondering if these stupid looking things will trigger that reaction?
That said, I'd certainly be hiding that goofy looking thing in my vest until I got away from polite society... :newmascot:

I bought one. Looked pretty good on TV. I'll report back if it works out for us in a couple weeks...
I am going to bag my first Turkey this spring if it is the last thing I do!

Buddy of mine uses a plastic gobbler head on a stick and that's it!

Thanks Tracky...I've used a jake fan on a stick and had plenty of gobblers come right over to check it out. They usually didn't stay long. Looked like they figured it out and would walk away pretty quickly but plenty of time to shoot. It's laughable but it worked...I'm just wondering if the stupid chicken will work too...

Sounds ridiculous, but I bet it works! Especially if it is in some grass. I'm going to try this this season, and I'll report on it as well. Got some detachable heads from my Cherokee-Sports inflatables that I'll give it a go with. Sounds like fun!

I dont own one, nor do I know if it works, but I bet the first diaphragm call looked pretty stupid to turkey hunters at that time.
